The Pyramids

The Pyramids were massive and the Egyptians stopped building them after the Old Kingdom. The Pyramids fell into two different types: cult temples and funerary or mortuary temples. The cult temples housed images of the Gods while the mortuary housed deceased Kings. I was surprised that I was able to get in. I had to decent through air shafts to make it to the subterranean chambers where the kings' chamber is found. In the kings' chamber, you can find a sarcophagus containing a resting Pharaoh. This was obviously not meant to be explored because the room was filled with great treasures meant to be taken with the Pharaoh himself in the afterlife.
