The Nile River

Next the Great Nile River. Oh boy, was this beautiful and one of the most important things about the Ancient Egyptians. Without the Nile, the Egyptians would not be able to do many things like dominate the marketplace or build the Pyramids. I saw the common people working the land surrounding the Nile and the irrigation systems. I saw how the Egyptians cultivated the land after what appeared to be a flooding season and this produced a great harvest. I saw them harvesting wheat which would then be used for various things such as bread or beer. I even saw them harvesting papyrus which would be used to make sheets and that would be used for writing sheets. The Egyptians had a great way of marketing papyrus and even exported it all across the Mediterranean. Egyptian merchants would often trade with other Egyptian settlements and used the Nile as a means of transportation. One day I watched a man praise the Nile with a hymn and he claimed that the Nile actually gives life to Egypt. Indeed the Nile is great it even protected Egypt from other nations wishing to cause any harm.
